Device Server enables Serial devices to get connected to LAN for access by any PC in the Network. The serial device’s port should be compatible to RS 232 and in some cases they can be RS 485 or RS 422. The other side of Device server gets connected to Ethernet LAN operating at 10 or 100 Mbps depending upon the model.

The Device Server can be used with any serial device for LAN or Network access. This opens up the great possibility of Networking Serial Devices which otherwise would have been connected to a single PC. The Ethernet TCP connectivity protocol standard is adopted and is the backbone of the largest Network, the Internet.
