PLC-232 converts RS232 communication data to be ransferred
using the PLC(Power
 Line Communication) technology, which,
in short, operates as an RS232 to PLC converter. With no
additional communication cabling, serial device
communication is available using only the existing ower
line. It is fully compatible with the serial COM port of
PC. The product needs to be used in pairs. |

What is PLC? |
|
PLC(Power Line Communication) utilizes the power line
installed in houses or offices as the medium of
communication, transmitting communication signals in high
frequency between 100KHz to 30MHz. Signals can be
successfully received by separating the communication
signals from the electric power with the high frequency
filter.Most electric devices need DC (Direct Current) for
their operations, which means that 60Hz AC (Alternating
Current) signals in electric power must be processed by
transformer to be altered to DC. Since the high frequency
signals inPLC results in low output, there is no effect on
the performance of any electric device. |

PLC-232 Applications |
|
PLC-232 has a DB-9 serial port on one side and a
110/220V power cable slot on the other, forming a
simple structure. When the serial cable distance needs
to be lengthened or cabling work is burdensome,
PLC-232 can be applied as shown below. |
